DALGONA COFFEE
Dalgona Coffee AKA Whipped Coffee AKA the viral TikTok challenge of 2020 AKA a very delightful summer treat. The Korean word ‘dalgona’ directly translates to ‘honeycomb toffee’ and it originates from a traditional Korean sponge candy. It preceded the whipped coffee trend.

INGREDIENTS:
- 1 packet of Dapper & Wise instant coffee
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp hot water
- 8oz milk (whole or alternative)
- Ice
STEPS:
- Whisk together 1 pkt D&W instant coffee, 1 tablespoon of hot water, and 1 tablespoon of sugar until stiff peaks form. (Trust me, you’ll want to invest in a milk frother or hand mixer for this step!) Whisk for about 3-5 minutes or until you reach desired texture.
- Pick your favorite cup, pour milk over ice, and scoop whipped coffee on top. (If preferred, you can also scoop the whipped coffee over frothed hot milk)
