Meet the new farmer co-owned roasting company launched by the cooperative, Café Orígenes. We buy and roast a lot of their coffee for our Stag Espresso Blend, Bonfire Blend, and our single origin menu.
Forming a co-op allows the farmer-members to take on more of the supply chain after growing the coffee, such as the milling and export processes. The more the co-op takes on, the less money they spend on middlemen, which means more money to the farmer-members.
When we use the term relationship coffee, it’s because the people behind the coffee are important to us, and we believe that the work they do is meaningful and aligns with our mission at Dapper & Wise / Insomnia. We’re honored to feature Yungas on our our website through September.
